Located in Rancho Santa Margarita and serving Orange County for over 22 years, Mike Esfahani's experience ensures success for students of all ages, levels, and musical interests. He is capable of inspiring new students with a combination of classical, rock, and pop techniques, making piano fun and encouraging students to practice on their own. With transfer students, Mike assesses their strengths and limitations and addresses them directly so that the student feels re-motivated and inspired. In adult students, Mike develops specific lesson plans and practice regimens to fit their busy lifestyles and schedules. He is proud to have had several students audition for and receive acceptance to prestigious music schools.

Mike began his music studies at an early age immersing himself in piano, theory, and composition. A graduate of California State University, Fullerton, Mike holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, Magna Cum Laude, as well as a Master of Arts in Music. At Fullerton, Mike was honored with several awards including finalist in the 2007 Music Associates competition, the Musicology Award for Excellence in Research 2010, and has been inducted into the Pi Kappa Lambda National Musical Honor Society—a distinction reserved by invitation only to graduates at the top of their class. Beyond teaching piano, Mike has also lectured courses in music history and theory at his alma mater.

More recently, Mike has enjoyed using classical piano methods to teach pop, rock, and hip hop to large audiences online. In 2021, he was awarded YouTube partnership and as of 2023, his tutorials are watched thousands of times daily. His channel has surpassed over 1.3 million views and has earned several thousand engaged subscribers.

Mike began teaching privately in Orange County, California in 2001. He very quickly developed a reputation as one of the county's premier piano instructors and enjoys a schedule of committed and inspired students. While central to the Rancho Santa Margarita, Mission Viejo, Coto de Caza, and Ladera Ranch communities, Mike has pupils who travel from as far as Los Angeles and San Diego counties.
